Irawan Eco Adventure & Zipline Tour

Duration: 4 hoursLocation: Irawan Puerto Princesa Palawan
PHP 1,450/person

The Irawan Eco Park located south of Puerto Princesa is a 3,000 hectares Flora and Fauna Protected Area which forms part of the Irawan Watershed.

The Irawan Forest is accessible even to non hiking persons. Even the less adventurous who don’t want to take the Forest Canopy Zip line, the eco and river tour itself is well worth a trip up to the Eco Park just to explore and commune with nature and walk along its crystal clear river.

The Irawan Arts Café and Gallery of the Irawan Eco Park showcases artworks of Jerome Ray Miano, the resident artist, and other local artists with the Aborlan Arts Program, the only active program in Palawan addressing the needs of the out-of-school youth through arts development.

All around you, the sights, sounds and even the jungle air itself seems to breathe and whisper of a secret world. Take a step into that world with the Irawan Eco-Adventure Tour which takes you to the jungles of Palawan.

Regarded as one of the best geographical regions to enjoy eco adventurous in the entire South East Asia, Palawan is indeed paradise for nature lovers.

Itinerary
From the pick-up location in your hotel, a van will take you to Irawan Eco Park, about 1 hour from the Puerto Princesa City proper. Along the way you will be shown many other popular natural attractions of Palawan.

Upon arrival in Irawan Eco Park, you will be toured the facilities starting with the Irawan Cafe Art Gallery where you may view and purchase local arts and crafts created by the locals.

Next on the itinerary would be a trip on board a traditional cart ride drawn by a carabao (water buffalo) up to the next stop, The Hagedorn Eco-Home. This is the home of Puerto Princesa’s famous mayor, known for spearheading the eco friendly measures that the host city has adopted to sustain the environment. Within the home you will be shown interesting collections which the mayor has been known to collect over the years.

Upon reaching the Eco Park watershed area, your next activity will be the highly anticipated Zipline Adventure which will zoom you atop the forest canopy. The zip line at 1.3 kilometers long, is the longest zipline ride in Asia.

The fun however does not stop there – as soon as you finish the zipline, you will be ushered to the Skywalk Adventure. A safety harness will be attached to you as you walk wooden steps high above the forest. A truly exhilirating experience.

After lunch or snacks, an english speaking guide will take you on the River Trail Adventure. Here you will be shown the various indigenous flora and fauna only found in Palawan.

The tour ends with a short hike back to the Eco Park Reception area to collect you photos. Additional cost for photos may apply.

Can you recommend a nice hotel on the beach that would be centrally located for these tours and access to restaurants/shops/bars. Thank you!
