Coron Tour: Kayak & Calauit Safari Overnight Adventure
An amazing overnight Coron activity tour offering the opportunity to trek, kayak, spend a night under the stars and take an early morning visit to the famous Calauit Wildlife Reserve. This tour, brought to you by Tribal Adventures, is a truly unique experience that you will be talking about for years to come!
Accommodation is in Tribal Adventures’ signature Hill or open Tree House-style pavilions on its 10-hectare beachfront, solar-powered tropical oasis called Camp Calauit, located at Cheey, Busuanga. The closest beach to the airport, being only 20 kms away, it is Busuanga’s most picturesque AND in the centre of “dugong country”. Shared, modern shower and toilet facilities with individual lockers. Hotel linen, towels, comfy mattresses, pillows and toiletries are supplied.
Sea kayaking Included are snorkels and masks and provision of a single or double sit-in, foot rudder-controlled sea kayak, ideal to go out and visit nearby islands and our magical sandbars.
4×4 safari to Calauit Wildlife Reserve Departing the following morning, around sunrise, in a 4×4 you will be driven 70 minutes to Macalachao, where you will board a native banca for a 10 minute trip across to Calauit Island. There you will undertake the safari, either by foot or by truck, to view African and local animals in a wildlife park that is reputedly the largest in Southeast Asia.
Please Note that Itinerary may be subject to change or adjustment as a result of weather, tidal or land conditions. As an example, the tour may forgo the 4×4 option and replace it with a boat ride to the Safari if road conditions are considered unsafe
The giraffe literally feed out of your hands and the Calamian Deer, an endangered species, positively thrive in the park. After the 3-hour safari you will visit Sinibayan Falls for a barbecue lunch and swim in the rainforest before returning to Camp Calauit and Palawan SandCastles mid-afternoon.
